(Jackson, Wyo.) - The Jackson Hole Lacrosse Club announced that Gary Trauner of Wilson has been selected to be the first-ever Executive Director of the organization.

Trauner brings high level, senior management experience along with his lifelong passion for lacrosse. He played Division 1 lacrosse at Colgate University (where he was voted Captain his senior year), was part of the startup of the Jackson Hole Lacrosse Men’s Club and has coached youth lacrosse in Jackson for several years, as well as serving on the board as treasurer for Jackson Hole Lacrosse Club.

Trauner has been deeply involved in the Jackson Hole community for more than 25 years, serving as Chair of the School Board and COO of St. John’s Medical Center. He is currently Board Chair of the Charture Institute and the Aspens Water & Sewer District.

"The Board of Directors is thrilled to have such a high caliber leader and seasoned executive in the community to lead Jackson Hole Lacrosse forward," said Board President Charlie Ross.

The Jackson Hole Lacrosse Club exists to introduce and grow a community-based program that offers all youth in the Jackson Hole area, regardless of economic status, the opportunity to discover, embrace and participate in the sport of lacrosse.
